It depends on the type of plan, when you switch a company the proper liability depends on the policy. But i will not suggest you to change the company atleast for a single policy.

There are some insurance companies which claim to provide lower rates on insurance but they are frauds.

When you want to purchase a cheap auto insurance policy then first read all the rules and regulations of the documents before signing it.
