Check your Tire Pressure on your Motorcycle Before Each Ride!

I have written an article about the importance of checking your tire pressure before each ride. You can find the article posted on my Biker and Motorcycle Lawyer Blog here: http://www.bikerlawblog.com/index.php?blog=3&title=check_you_tire_pressure_on_your_motorcyc&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

Thanks for sharing all of your thoughts and articles regarding regular inspection of your bike.  We regularly perform random checks of rides within our group.  Rarely do we offend someone, more likely our efforts are appreciated via the discovery of something unusual i.e., tire pressure, nail in tire, turn indicator or light problems.   Keep up the good work, I rarely get bored of reading safety, riding related materials.

    Thanks Marc.

I was on a ride with my club from Los Angeles to Fresno when one of my brothers almost lost his life due to a nail in his front tire. Quite frankly, I have no clue how he kept control of the bike. Before the ride I mentioned to him that his front tire looked like it did not have enough air.

A quick check of two tires will save your life. They now screw on tire pressue indicators for motorcycles but I have not checked them out yet.

Most of this stuff should just be common sense. It amazes me that someone would not do a quick check of their scoot before riding.

Check your tires period! That T-CLOCS thing MSF touts will really keep you from doing what I did and not inspect a tire that should not hav been ridden on, which cost me a 96 Gold Wing and my wife her spleen and 4 weeks out of work.

T-CLOCS and cleaning your bike are the two best ways to find problems.

Always check the pressure in tires to avoid any case of accident, it can be a very bad situation if your car hits another car with low pressure on tires, it will lead to serious damages, and if you does not carry a insurance cover, then it can be the worst case.
