    Traffic Light Monitoring

I am sure everyone has had this problem on a motorcycle.

You ride up to a light and the inground system does not recognise the vehicle.

While some unscrupulous vendors try to sell magnets to combat this problem, the real solution lies in proper implimentation of the system or an overall redesign with motorcycles in mind.

In any event, something should be done to create a standard in which these systems would reliably operate when a motorcycle is involved.

I do not think that federal intervention in a jurisdiction of local law is necessary.  I do understand the need for uniformity.  Wisconsin changed their law to a waiting period before you could proceed with caution.

I see no need for a Federal Law, just looking for some uniformity or guidelines for system implimentation.

That is why I posted this the ITS forum.

    Re: Traffic Light Monitoring

It is quite an important aspect to monitor traffic lights, as it will lead to accidents if not working properly.
