    Metal Plates Covering Roadwork

Do maintenance crews ever think about the spacing of the metal plates used to cover holes during construction?

First of all I have seen these plates with spaces larger than a motorcycle, side by side. If a rider does not see this it could lead to a crash and even death.

Additionally, thought should be placed into how many of these plates should be used together, as the metal provides very little traction.

I've seen them spaced pretty wide apart, too. That, and with BIG humps leading up to them, too. I often wonder on the ones that don't have tar humps leading up to them if they might cut a tire if hit wrong.

It is quite dangerous for the bike riders, there should be some sign board regarding the metal plates that riders can see.

Bikers need lots of safety, because they ride pretty fast, and it is impossible for them to stop the bike when such conditions occurs.
