Vehicle sensing and alert systems design for cars & trucks

As devices such as blind spot vehicle sensors for cars find their way onto the roads via new model year designs, car & truck drivers will increasingly depend on them for making driving decisions such as lane changes, backing and parking maneuvers.

Such devices' sensitivity and overall design should be designed to exceed minimum performance standards such that motorcyclists, legally sanctioned users of public roads, will be recognized and identified as such by the devices so that the driver will be made aware of the rider's presence the same as for a car.

It is imperative that motorcyclists not be placed at further risk due to the increasing trend in technology-based car & truck driver distractions and driver reliance on technology (versus personal vigilance and maintaining situational awareness) in the safe operation of motor vehicles.

    Respectfully,
